Monrovia, Liberia – Hon. Hadja Mamaka Bility, Minister of State without Portfolio, has called for urgent, coordinated action to help reduce Liberia’s housing shortfall at the launch of the National Housing Authority’s (NHA) Strategic Plan for 2025–2029.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Bility described the new plan as a “blueprint” for turning Liberia’s housing aspirations into reality. She warned that the country faces a housing deficit of more than 512,000 units and said the plan provides a data-driven approach to Social-Economic Housing Development.
“The urgency of this task cannot be overstated,” Minister Bility said, noting the plan’s alignment with President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr.’s ARREST Agenda.
She said prioritizing affordable housing will support infrastructure and sanitation goals, stimulate economic growth, and create jobs.
Minister Bility congratulated the NHA on the launch and urged stakeholders to collaborate to implement the strategy.
